Richardson’s gem set for road trip after Gold win

HOLMESVILLE trainer Dave Richardson is eyeing group races in Brisbane and Melbourne with Sandave Sapphire after her all-the-way win in the Gold Cup Final (720 metres) at Wentworth Park.

“I was happy with the box out wide because there wasn’t much speed around her.

“She’s a very,very strong bitch, so once she led,I knew she would have a good run home. She’s always had loads of ability, she just had to put it all together.”
