Ralolo near perfect in draw

Yoogali FC proved that their opening round drubbing was just a blip on the radar in the Griffith District Football Association first grade competition when they playedHanwood over the weekend.

They took to the field with a completely different side and it proved more than effective as they carved out a 1-1 draw.

Goalkeeper Jone Ralolo starred for YFC as Hanwood co-coach Jason Bertacco sang his praises.

“Their goalkeeper had a blinder,” he said.

“He made about six or seven saves that you wouldn’t expect from someone in this competition, one of which was a penalty.He deserved the full three points today.”

As good as he was, he didn’t remain perfect.

The opening half remained deadlocked at 0-0 as teams headed to the shedsand it was YFC who struck first after the break.

Roy Catanzariti got his side on top but there was still plenty of time left to play.

It was JoeSchirippa who salvaged a point for Hanwood with a late equaliser.
