Patrons evicted from Domain Stadium for anti-Islam bannervideo

DOMAIN Stadium management has confirmed four people were evicted from the venue last night during the 2016 Western Derby, after displaying an anti-Islam banner.

West Australian Football Commission Acting Chief Executive Gavin Taylor said the banner was displayed for a very short time during the half time break and praised venue staff and security for acting so swiftly.

“The banner was removed immediately and those responsible evicted from the stadium and handed over to police,” Mr Taylor said.

“We will be working with police and the AFL to ban these people from returning to Domain Stadium. This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

The group hoisting the banner is known as the United Patriots Front, who were involved in a similar incident at the MCG earlier this year.
