Joining forces for the good of the region

OVER the past two years the Albury Northside chamber of commerce and Albury Central have developed an integration strategy that will come into effect on May 1.

During this time of change, and the pending integration of these two entities, it’stimely to recognisethe small group of local business people who have worked to achieve this outcome.

Without theirpassion and expertise, organisations such as the chamber and Albury Central would not be as progressive and vibrant as they are today. The integrationof the two entitieswill streamline our core activities for business –to inform, connect, support and represent.

Our four-year strategicplan for growing businessincludesworking more closely with Albury Cityto increase visitation through strategic marketing activities, with a focus on Albury CBD.

We will also continue supporting women through Women in Chamber andyoung business people through Young Business Edge.

We alsoaim to be active in areas of concern, such ascross-border challenges, reduction of crime and graffiti strategies, the digital economy and rollout of the NBN, tackling red tape and youth unemployment.

Our plans, once realised, will show that business in Albury city has grown stronger, ismore resilient and better educated about what is available locally to help themgrow and prosper into the future. If you are in business, now is the time to step forward and ask us how we can help you to help your business, with change comes great opportunity.

The integration of Albury Northside and Albury Central will be acatalyst forgrowing business faster, stronger and smarter.
