Adam marks return with win

OSBORNE celebrated favourite sonAdam Schneider’s homecoming with a gritty five-point win over premiership contender Jindera at Osborne on Saturday.

Adam Schneider made a triumphant return to Osborne on Saturday.

Although Schneider was kept under control in attack by Bulldog Tom Weldon, the home team emerged victorious in a thrilling finish.

It was the left-footer’s first match for the club since the 2001 grand final.

“I had an absolute ball,” Schneider said.

“It was great to get home and play in a win.

“’Ravs’ (coach Matt Rava) gave me the duty of being captain for the day which was a nice touch by him.

“I loved it.

“Osborne has a really young side and it wasgreat for the young blokes to experience a win in a tight game against good opposition.

“I was pretty stoked with that.”

While Jindera had the better of general play through Sam Crawshaw and Mick Galvin, the Bulldogs were wasteful in front of goal.
